Very interesting article...

This is a very interestingly cool article: Savant for a Day. I think a free registration is required. Comment and tell me what you think.

BTW, sorry I couldn't come to Ultimate earlier. I hadn't even really started packing.

Try again, Laurel.

Election video. Get it before 5:00 PM to-day. And this doesn't mean you, Felix. You've already seen it. I can tell.

Silly news people

I was listening to the news and something one of the anchors read from the script reminded me of Adam's previous post.

The anchors were talking about the danger of leaving children out in cars in the summer, so the anchor makes the following wonderful concluding statement:

"Children left in cars can be a deadly combination."

Laurel, get the video.

Election video. Get it before 5:00 PM to-day.

Stupid Bravenet.

Our poll has for some reason gone temporarily offline. It can't find the web page to get the script from, even though everything else at bravenet (especially the ads) are still online. Grr. Well, instead, maybe you could try posting comments to that comment link I made.

Poll post!

I added a little code that lets one comment on the current poll much like one comments on a post. Fun fun!

Election video!

I was looking through my logs and noticed that Laurel and someone else looked at our video, which, incidentally, owned the other election videos this year. Pray tell, who else saw them?

It's a little late, isn't it?

I just today got a advertisement thing from the University of Georgia asking me if I wanted to apply to their college. I find that highly unusual given that it is in fact June 18.

Check it out!

Hey, since you all are at work (this is especially for Laurel), take a look at my election video that we made for government if you haven't seen it before. This is a direct link to a file on my computer which I am using as a web server, so I have to be at work. Chances are that this will only work for today, as well. I'm leaving at about 12:30, so get it before then (but only if you haven't seen it)! The members of my group were (besides me) Eric Capps, Michelle Milburn, and Andrea Peters.

To Laurel

Unfortunately, there really aren't any better alternatives. I have done quite a bit of looking too.

Another interesting random web site

Felix's story made me search for "Felix is dead!" This is an interesting link that I found. Beware, Felix, our faithful freind! :-)

Ugly Seth failure?!?

Okay, who's the goof who did a search for Ugly Seth Failure?" I know it was either Adam or Felix. I highly suspect Felix.

1000 visitors!

...sort of. I think it counts page loads. But whatever. It looks like it was one of you guys at A&M:

Also, who's the wise guy (using A&M dial-up and a PC) who went to our web site from a search about "ugly smokers?" What the heck!?!

Poor Jeannie!

I was just reading the blog of Kim, Malavika, Eileen, and Jeannie and startled upon some very unfortunate news. A few days ago, they were burglarized by a guy who was apparently smoking crack during the burglary. Then, like yesterday, Jeannie's car was stolen. Arrghh! That must really stink.

Now we can have titles

Now you have the option of putting titles on your posts. You don't have to; it's just that it might be kinda cool sometimes.
I think, actually, that I should put a warning at the top of our web page that says something to the effect of:

"Attention: if you are looking for a factual site that refers to hydrothermal vents, you have reached this site in error. We reccommend you visit a real web site about black smokers. If you reached this site looking for "ugly smokers," we're sorry, but there's nothing more that we can do for you. You are doomed. Doomed. DOOMED. DOOMED!! DOOOOOMED!!!!!!"

But maybe that's a bit excessive.
Also, I updated the sidebar a little. It appears that someone did a search for search for black smokers. I thought it would be one of us, but the person resided in an EST place. That person must have been thinking, "How are the oceanographers going to find more black smokers? Maybe I'll do a google search for 'search for black smokers.'" How strange. That person must never have been expecting someone talking about doing internet searches for their web site which they named after a type of hydrothermal vent.
This is wacky. We're showing up on the search engines again. Now we are also number one in a Google search for "UGLY SMOKERS," mostly thanks to the fact that "UGLY SMOKERS" is mentioned at least two other times. Perhaps if I talk about UGLY SMOKERS even more, our web site will become the UGLY SMOKERS central web site.
